SUNDAY ECHONO By ECHEKWU SUNDAY JNR @ EKUM VOICE EARLY EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND Sonny Echono was born on the 16th December 1962 at Otukpo, Benue state. He had his early education at St. Mary’s Primary School, Otukpo before proceeding to graduate from St. Murumbas College, Jos as the best graduating student in the class of 1973-78 with a Division I in the West African School Certificate (WASC). He acquired his GCE A level at Murtala College of Arts, Science and Technology, Makurdi in 1980. HIS HIGHER EDUCATION He bagged a Bachelor of Science (2nd Class Upper) in Architecture from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in 1983, Masters in Architecture, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in 1985. He was awarded the Best Life project and followed this with the Best-All-Round Performance in the Nigerian Institute of Architects Professional Practice Examination in 1989. ASUU STRIKE TO LAST TILL 14TH MAY, 2022. ECHEKWU SUNDAY

*STRIKE COUNTINES FOR EIGHT ( WEEKS ECHEKWU SUNDAY  PUBLISHED @ EKUM VOICE   ASUU NEC met on Sunday the 13th of March, 2022 to evaluate the response of the Federal Government of Nigeria to the outstanding issues of the review of our conditions of service and the deployment of UTAS amongst other issues for which our Union had declared a one-month rolling strike to compel the Federal Government to act on. At the close of the meeting, NEC was convinced that the Federal Government had not done anything tangibly sufficient to warrant the suspension of the strike. So NEC resolved to roll it on for an additional eight ( weeks with effect from midnight of Sunday the 13th of March, 2022 to provide the Federal Government enough time to fulfil the timelines they have set for the resolution of the issues.
