Footbalgeria’s Rating:
1. As sure as the Premier League is concerned, Chelsea is the best team. And as expected, Champions are likely to win most individual accolades to explains why Chelsea had 8 mentions.

2. Our second team is Man United. In terms of success, Man United is the best team of the season, but they have to be second since they were 6th at home (the Premier League). They had 6 mentions on our list. If it wasn’t a home rating, that Europa League stats were brought in, United would have mentions for Most goals scored and most passes completed.

3. Tottenham is the third team on our list with 5 mentions. It’s was a huge debate which team should come third between Arsenal and Tottenham, considering Arsenal’s FA Cup trophy. But considering that Arsenal are not playing the Champions League, and had only one mention, they are our number 4. Tottenham were impressive in every other way, but would not win any trophy. They had the best attack and defense.

4. So yes… Arsenal is number 4. A trophy always counts.
5. It took some time to determine 5th and 6th given that Liverpool and City had the same number of mentions. But putting into account the type of mentions and the Premier League table, City is 5th.

In conclusion, football knows it has many children, so would share the spoils. How Arsenal won FA Cup, Liverpool Emre Can won goal of the season, and Harry Kane Fans Player of the Season really informed us it was Football’s way to make all it’s children smile. Oh no, we almost forgot Leicester. See, Leicester was not forgotten, Leicester was the best in the Champions League.

Cashless policy: Reps, CBN agree no time limit for old naira notes 31/01/2023

     Published by   ECHEKWU SUNDAY  JNR @  EKUM BLOG  The House of Representatives and the Central Bank of Nigeria have agreed that a time limit will no longer apply to the validity of old naira notes after the expiration of the February 10 deadline set by the apex bank. This means that the face value of the old N1000, N500 and N200 notes will continue to be redeemable in compliance with Section 20 (3) of the CBN Establishment Act. Banks will continue to mop up the notes after they cease to be legal tender on February 10 without a time limit. The CBN Governor, Mr Godwin Emefiele, was directed to submit a weekly report on releases of the new notes to commercial banks so that the House could verify claims by the CEOs of the banks that the apex bank had not been releasing enough cash to them. The CBN was also directed to restore over-the-counter transactions by the banks and increase Automated Teller Machine (ATM) cash withdrawal limits in order to fast-track the circulation of the new no
