The Benue State University Teaching Hospital Makurdi, Benue State has today 25th May 2017 embarked on an indefinite strike owing to the non payment of salaries by the state government. A statement by the union which states that staff of the hospital won’t resume work or shouldn’t be seen on the premises of the hospital until outstanding salaries are being cleared by the state government. The strike which is coming exactly a month after the University body ASUU and NASU also embarked on strike owning to non payment of earned allowance by the State government.
