Hello NIGERIAN NEWS VENDOR, Good Morning and welcome to the finale of the Premier League and the Spanish La Liga. Don’t you miss it already? If you do, then make today count. Make sure you watch a match at least, give your best cheer, predict and see your wish come true. Just make today count. We @footbalgeria miss it already. It was really fun this season. Thanks to you Footbalgerians. You are the best!!!
.
.
But come to think of it:
- How did Chelsea do it?
- How has Tottenham pressed so hard?
- How has Mourinho and Man United managed those number of games and injuries?
- Liverpool is finding it’s way back to the top.
- Man City and Guardiola may have fallen below expectations, but they show great promise.
- Mixed feelings about Arsenal, but they always have our hearts.
.
.
For the Spanish La Liga:
- Real has been impressive with a running record of 63 games with at least a goal. They made a Spanish record 40-match unbeaten run along the way. They’ve had a great team with about 20 different scorers. Their defenders are warriors; they fight hard and score goals too. Now, they are on the verge of winning the La Liga and the Champions League. Whatever happens today, we won’t doubt them and Zidane. We’ve been impressed.
.
.
- There’s no way you don’t remember Barcelona. It is written that Barcelona overturned a 4-0 Champions League deficit to win 6-5. They have arguably the all-time best striking force in Messi-Suarez-Neymar, the popular MSN that has scored more than 100 goals in 3 seasons running. Messi is on course to win the Golden Boot, Neymar sees this season as his best in Barcelona… No way, just no way you don’t remember Barcelona. If not for anything else, the believe. Their fans can tell you they believe they can still win La Liga tonight. Let’s see how it goes.
.
.
- Atletico hasn’t been the Atletico we really wanted this season. We don’t even want to talk about their thorn in Real Madrid and Ronaldo. But they’ve been impressive to keep the best defense that only conceded 26 goals in La Liga. Their players are terrific that clubs from different parts of Europe want them. Ride on Rojiblancos!
.
.
A win will also hand Juventus Seria A and set them on the course of winning a Treble. They’ve been terrific. We congratulate them too. It’s not easy to play the MSN without conceding. Mbappe was just stubborn to score.
.
.
So yes… we enjoy Football. We Love Football. [faking tears now] We miss it already [sigh and shaking head] miss it. So, we will cheer hard today, watch with passion again.

Cashless policy: Reps, CBN agree no time limit for old naira notes 31/01/2023

Published by   ECHEKWU SUNDAY  JNR @  EKUM BLOG  The House of Representatives and the Central Bank of Nigeria have agreed that a time limit will no longer apply to the validity of old naira notes after the expiration of the February 10 deadline set by the apex bank. This means that the face value of the old N1000, N500 and N200 notes will continue to be redeemable in compliance with Section 20 (3) of the CBN Establishment Act. Banks will continue to mop up the notes after they cease to be legal tender on February 10 without a time limit. The CBN Governor, Mr Godwin Emefiele, was directed to submit a weekly report on releases of the new notes to commercial banks so that the House could verify claims by the CEOs of the banks that the apex bank had not been releasing enough cash to them. The CBN was also directed to restore over-the-counter transactions by the banks and increase Automated Teller Machine (ATM) cash withdrawal limits in order to fast-track the circulation of the new no
