★★★Done Transfer Update for the Premier League Top 6 – Bleacher’s Report Most Expensive 11 in the World★★★
.
Talking money is fun sometimes. Clubs are at it again this summer. So, before the Bank is broken again, let’s see the most expensive players in different positions, according to Bleacher Report.
.
Imagine a team with:
.
1. Buffon @44.95 million pounds
2. Dani Alves @30.18 million pounds
3. John Stones @47.26 million pounds
4. David Luiz @42.08 million pounds
5. Luke Shaw @31.88 million pounds
6. Paul Pogba @89.25 million pounds
7. James Rodriquez @ 63.75 million pounds
8. Gareth Bale @85.85 million pounds
9. Neymar @74.97 million pounds
10. Cristiano Ronaldo @79.9million pounds
11. Higuain @76.5million pounds
.
Now… this is the all-time most expensive list:
.
1. Paul Pogba – 105 million Euros (2016)
2. Gareth Bale – 100.8 million Euros (2013)
3. Cristiano Ronaldo – 94 million euros (2009)
4. Gonzalo Higuain – 90 million euros (2016)
5. Neymar - 86.2 million euros (2013)
6. Luis Suarez – 81.7 million euros (2014)
7. James Rodriguez – 79.8 million euros (2014)
8. Kevin De Bruyne – 75.7 million euros (2015)
9. Angel Di Maria – 75 million euros (2014)
10. Zinedine Zidane – 75 million euros (2001)
.
.
Something tickled us when we reviewed this list:
Did you guys see that ZIDANE made the list? Maybe he was destined for Real Madrid greatness. When Madrid bought Zidane, they won the Champions League the next season (2002). Same thing that happened when they bought Bale (winning 2014). Man United bought Pogba, they won the Europa League. The best part is that these 3 players scored in those finals #Wink.
.
.
Maybe there’s something about breaking the bank. For sure it motivates players, tells them to give more, and strengthens the team with a core spin. But what do we know… Football has a mind of its own at times. Let’s see how this season goes.
.
.
Meanwhile, for the completed transfers by the top 6 Premier League Clubs:
1. Chelsea – None came in for now.
Players that are out are: Juan Cuadrado (Juventus), Christian Atsu (Newcastle), Asmir Begovic(Bournemouth) and Dominic Solanke(Liverpool).
.
2. Tottenham – No news for now.
.
3. Man City – Really busy since the closing of the season. Landed Bernardo Silva from Monaco. Rumors say it’s a done deal for Benfica Goalkeeper Ederson and they’ve closed in on Kyle Walker, among others.
For their out list, it’s Zabaleta, Clichy, Jesus Navas, Caballero, Sagna, Unas Emel, and Angus Gunn.
.
4. Liverpool – Liverpool signed Chelsea youngster ‘Dominic Solanke’. No other news.
.
5. Arsenal – They got ‘Sead Kolasinac’ from Schalke on free transfer. No other news but speculation. Our greatest surprise is how we see Arsenal among the contenders for Mbappe, with over 100 million euros price tag. We are so watching. Let’s see how it goes, and let’s see how next season would be for Arsenal. Meanwhile, there’s no news about Sanchez and Ozil signing a new contract, but it’s likely they will stay at Arsenal.
.
6. For Manchester United, there’s just so much rumour. We hear exciting today, we hear another tomorrow. When there’s real news, we will share.
.
7. Real Madrid are giants and like to spend. We think they may do it again this time. We only don’t know for whom. We are still watching.
.
8. Barcelona is made to be associated with many players important to different teams. They are Barcelona and could tempt any player in the World. Let’s just see how it goes.
.
9. AC Milan got Mateo Musacchio (Villarreal), Ricardo Rodriguez (Wolfsburg), Franck Kessie (Atalanta).
.
.
More will come as we hear.

Cashless policy: Reps, CBN agree no time limit for old naira notes 31/01/2023

Published by   ECHEKWU SUNDAY  JNR @  EKUM BLOG  The House of Representatives and the Central Bank of Nigeria have agreed that a time limit will no longer apply to the validity of old naira notes after the expiration of the February 10 deadline set by the apex bank. This means that the face value of the old N1000, N500 and N200 notes will continue to be redeemable in compliance with Section 20 (3) of the CBN Establishment Act. Banks will continue to mop up the notes after they cease to be legal tender on February 10 without a time limit. The CBN Governor, Mr Godwin Emefiele, was directed to submit a weekly report on releases of the new notes to commercial banks so that the House could verify claims by the CEOs of the banks that the apex bank had not been releasing enough cash to them. The CBN was also directed to restore over-the-counter transactions by the banks and increase Automated Teller Machine (ATM) cash withdrawal limits in order to fast-track the circulation of the new no
