VICENT OKOKO ODO views on NIGERIAN ISSUES AT HAND

The only way to live the 2015 APC pre-election dream and sweet promises now is to be asleep and lost in the planet. What a Lost hope! We have to now deal with stories of presidential rats, missing budget, padded budget, trans border snakes, youth empowerment wheelbarrows, foreign based Nigerian president, Aso Rock infested jackals, hyenas, pythons and Fulani killers & kidnapping squad. We have to deal with divided Nigeria ravaged with secessionist agitations fueled by hunger and poverty. We have to deal with high profile assassination with a state Assembly member from my area threatening to assassinate me already. We have to deal with a situation where government destroyed all our sign posts along the highway advertising our legitimate businesses but leave those ones asking Nigerians to join secret cult. We have to deal with a situation where those who offers government constructive criticism on social media are arrested and molested while facebook accounts like 'baba iyabo iyabo' offering and advertising money rituals are allowed to promote ritual killings. Lagos and Abuja have been over run by ritualists. I feel very sorry for my fellow Nigerians! I am taking a leave from facebook in the main time to pursue my elusive dream.

Cashless policy: Reps, CBN agree no time limit for old naira notes 31/01/2023

Published by ECHEKWU SUNDAY JNR @ EKUM BLOG The House of Representatives and the Central Bank of Nigeria have agreed that a time limit will no longer apply to the validity of old naira notes after the expiration of the February 10 deadline set by the apex bank. This means that the face value of the old N1000, N500 and N200 notes will continue to be redeemable in compliance with Section 20 (3) of the CBN Establishment Act. Banks will continue to mop up the notes after they cease to be legal tender on February 10 without a time limit. The CBN Governor, Mr Godwin Emefiele, was directed to submit a weekly report on releases of the new notes to commercial banks so that the House could verify claims by the CEOs of the banks that the apex bank had not been releasing enough cash to them.
