Wooow… what a Matchday we give to Lionel Messi!!!
Oh no bettors, we have no words but we’re sorry. No one saw it coming this way. It was a day of well mixed emotions – some are really happy, some sad, some unsatisfied… WOW
.
.
1. Oh dear Liverpool, we are sorry. An Arsenal fan said: ‘What goes around, comes back around, and sometimes, with a gloss’. LOL… we understood him given that Sane added the fifth goal in the 91st minute. We really feel for Chamberlain. He received 4 goals playing for Arsenal; today he received 5 with Liverpool. Hmmm… how this life is! Well done Citizens. Great goals from Aguero, Gabriel Jesus (2), and Sane (2).
.
.
2. The London Clubs Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham showed class. They all won on a day points were dropping around Europe and it was exciting to watch. Lacazette, Kane and Morata were on target. Kante won the points for Chelsea as Morata’s goal was cancelled out. It was surprising that Sanchez was dropped in favour of Welbeck, but Welbeck delivered 2 goals and it was all fine.
.
.
3. Hmmm… finally, Man United conceded, Man United dropped points. Well, they are still top, and all Premier League Clubs have now dropped points. The bad news is that Mourinho hasn’t made his mark for seasons he wins the title in the Premier League. He usually wins his first 4 games. Well, let’s see how it goes.
.
.
4. Real fans were disappointed too. Not only bad that Benzema injured, but Marcelo was red carded. They played, but didn’t click. We think they miss Ronaldo. Sometimes we wonder… why always Ronaldo? It ever shows when he’s not really there.
.
.
5. Talk of Ronaldo, we give our day to Lionel Messi. On a day Real slipped, he was on full gear to give Barcelona the first 3 goals – Hat-trick hero. Hmmm, what a connection with Jordi Alba. Just maybe, the LOL system may not work. Dembele didn’t start, and we saw a 4-4-2 formation. We will continue to observe and see what comes of this Barcelona. Dembele later came on and assisted Suarez’s goal to make it 5.
.
.
6. Monaco would be mourning as we speak. We don’t understand what happen. It can’t be Mbappe that left and the Supermarket was robbed. Hmmm… Balotelli had a great day with 2 goals.
.
.
7. Bayern too… we don’t understand. We were confused. We felt for Bettors. Dortmund and Atletico wouldn’t win as well. Nice one Juventus on an awkward day.
.
.
.
The floor is now open for all fans. Share, cheer, but mind your jeer. We’ve seen it happen already: what goes around comes back around [LOL]. Winners should rejoice… the 3 points are indeed precious. Losers should take heart, some days are like that, no one saw it coming. For they that shared points, Mourinho said it: a point is a point, Keep your head up, and wish for the best, don’t even let rivals box you in.

Cashless policy: Reps, CBN agree no time limit for old naira notes 31/01/2023

Published by   ECHEKWU SUNDAY  JNR @  EKUM BLOG  The House of Representatives and the Central Bank of Nigeria have agreed that a time limit will no longer apply to the validity of old naira notes after the expiration of the February 10 deadline set by the apex bank. This means that the face value of the old N1000, N500 and N200 notes will continue to be redeemable in compliance with Section 20 (3) of the CBN Establishment Act. Banks will continue to mop up the notes after they cease to be legal tender on February 10 without a time limit. The CBN Governor, Mr Godwin Emefiele, was directed to submit a weekly report on releases of the new notes to commercial banks so that the House could verify claims by the CEOs of the banks that the apex bank had not been releasing enough cash to them. The CBN was also directed to restore over-the-counter transactions by the banks and increase Automated Teller Machine (ATM) cash withdrawal limits in order to fast-track the circulation of the new no
