Reverse your decision within 14 working days Students Union tells Vice Chancellor.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof Msugh Moses Kembe, after making due consultation with political stake holders and local government chairmen revealed high conditional charges in the history of Benue State University implementing #113.400 as session school fees for the incoming fresh students.
Dissatisfied with this development, the aggrieved Students’ Union officials rejected the Impose school fees increment of 113.400 and above for other departments.
Call on the State Government to dialogue a withdrawal of the charges which the Union officials described as outrageous in the face of the dwindling economic condition of Governor Samuel Ortom administration.
The Union said Since times are hard and we are in trying times
The less privilege ones can't afford, speaking with some of the newly admitted students said their parents have already given up on the admission.
A letter will on Monday be serve to the Governor through the Commissioner for Education to this effect.
Comrade Vaaseh Stephen lubem who reiterated that the University is a “Community University” and the new charges will leave it inaccessible to poor Benue indigenes.
The students Union also reminded the Governor of the social unrest caused by the Fulani herdsmen which has made farming unproductive, and unpaid salaries which have made majority of Benue workers bankrupt as factors that have worsened the economy of the State.
That the charges are outrageous and should be reviewed to a reasonable amount.
Newly admitted students are therefore, advised to be patient until the review is done and communicated to them in due course. Please help forward the message to your whatsapp, facebook, instagram, twitter  groups or friends

Published by   ECHEKWU SUNDAY  JNR @  EKUM BLOG  The House of Representatives and the Central Bank of Nigeria have agreed that a time limit will no longer apply to the validity of old naira notes after the expiration of the February 10 deadline set by the apex bank. This means that the face value of the old N1000, N500 and N200 notes will continue to be redeemable in compliance with Section 20 (3) of the CBN Establishment Act. Banks will continue to mop up the notes after they cease to be legal tender on February 10 without a time limit. The CBN Governor, Mr Godwin Emefiele, was directed to submit a weekly report on releases of the new notes to commercial banks so that the House could verify claims by the CEOs of the banks that the apex bank had not been releasing enough cash to them.
