THE RISE OF NEW APC ELITES IN BENUE ZONE C ( IDOMA KINGDOM) BY Echekwu Sunday Jr.

.
BENUE ZONE C APC NEW ELITES AND THE POWER TUSSLE.
Permit me to say this, I would have tilted this post as: "THE RISE OF THE NEW GENERATIONAL APC BY THE MEDIEVAL MEN IN BENUE ZONE C" I think it sounds somewhat different right?
It is no longer anew/news that, in Benue state and zone C in particular, there is a cradles for power shifting syndromes which has emanated strongly as far back as 2019 General elections held nation wide. We all saw it how many young vibrant politicians took it up upon themselves and clamoured for power to be changed. I think that was the basic foundations of the numerous rises by the young and energetic and same time experienced politicians in the region under the siege drive of ALL PEOPLE CONGRESS fondly sang as: APC.
We have heard that many people have been declaring their intentions to run for one office or the other under the ruling APC administration regardless of individual differences about the party and it can be said to be an excessively when it comes to Benue state, Zone C ( Aka IDOMA LAND) now.
PEOPLE WE SHOULD LOOK KEENLY TO UNDER THE POLITICAL PARTY CALLS: ALL PROGRESSIVE CONGRESS ( APC).
— CHIEF STEVEN LAWANI
Chief Steven Lawani was once a Deputy Governor under the formal ruling party (PDP)and now a strongly direct political party member to the ruling party APC.
It is too early to forget in a hurry to know that, he contested for the seat of Senator with the other political parties which Comrade Abba Moro won and declared winner by the INEC, Indeed it was a great victory for the People Democratic party.
He has changed his mind and requested for something different which is the seat of the 0-1 of the state, governor.
As it stands now, from the whole of Zone C he has declared his interest on that seat and he has the major backings of the people mostly his political associates and other fellow party members and non party members.
Since we are not writing his biography, it will not be bad to stop here while we bring another person for limelight.
CHIEF PHILIP AGBES ( AKANGA ONE )
Permit me to say this, I don't know much about this young man but from my little findings, I was told he is a human activist, a man with a large heart for his people and a writer. His name becomes famous across his region when he hosted his intra – local government Maiden cup as of November 2020. The cup was highly welcomed by the youths and old people who partook in it and there was these songs of praises to him for bringing the people together across their local government and the match was played friendly and the unity cup was presented to the winners along other benefits to other people mostly, the people who officiated the match on behalf of him.
To sum it all, he is eyeing the post of House of representative popularly know as the "Green chamber", as of today, he is the most popular person to have come from far to make his intentions known under the flag of the ruling party APC in the upcoming General Elections 2023.
BLESSING ONUH
Mrs Blessing Onuh is a daughter of formal Senate president of Nigeria, Senator Dr David mark, she came from influential family and she made sure that that opportunity didn't pass her by.
Blessing, as tough as the General Elections was in 2019, she is the only candidate from zone C to have won her constituency using a non popular political party ( In Benue state and Idoma land to be specific) called UPGA.
According to rumors, the daughter of the formal Senator and currently The House of Representative, Otukpo Ohimini Federal constituency, may likely taste the throne her dad left in just 2019. I think the possibility or impossibility aspects should be a topic for another day.
The interesting part is that, earlier this year, (2021) she left the party that gave her the crown with her followers to the Umbrella party which she seems to be more comfortable than her formal and her dad's party.
ALEX OGBE
Alex Ogbe is a younger brother of Ochacho the CEO of Ochacho real estate house.
Ochacho is a young multiple Billionaire and he has touched lives of a lot, mostly people around his jurisdictions, he was said to invites some of the popular musicians in Nigeria, Davido and others.
Some people were on the opinion that, he did that to pave the away for his brother, like, creating awareness about his existence and barely a month, his brother has started visitations.
Alex is the leading leader of House of Representative under APC while on the other hand, Gordon Oche aka G12 is the major direct opposite under People Democratic party (PDP).
Alex was recently paid visit by Hon. Dr Theresa Apochi and he also along his brother, Ochacho paid a friendly visit to APC leader in Benue state, the person of George Akume in his home.
Let's stop here for now.
HON. DR. THERESA IKWUE APOCHI,
we all know about political career of Hon. Theresa Apochi as far back as 2003. ( story for another time) she was the flag bearer of the APC in the last General Elections held nation wide and she aspired for the post of House of Assembly which she was beaten down by her major opponent, Hon. Anthony Agom.
We are looking forward to see weather she will still contest for another seat again in 2023 or take a rest or better still take a bow. But we wish, with this kind of strategies and format, I think the game will be changed in this forthcoming General Elections if only she can still try again. "Winners never quits". We watch out on her and ready to respects whatever decision she chose as the case may be.
HON JOSHUA OJOBO
Joshua Ojobo Aka "Big Josh" ( I calls him) is the flag bearer of APDA for the post of House of Assembly, although he failed like Mrs Theresa Apochi which many people were on the opinion that, their failure was a result or individual differences whereas, their votes were divided due to the fact that, they came from the same district and town. I wish I could throw more light on that but it's not necessary here anyways.
The good news here is that, Big Josh has left the APDA and hide under the Umbrella ahead of the 2023 General Elections even though his intent were not made known which sooner we will know weather he will participate as a candidate or a member in his new political party.
COMRADE OKPE SYLVANUS
Comrade Okpe Sylvanus is a young and talented man, his type of personality is very rare, humble and talented. He has never held any political office but his contributions to the nation's building is enormous. Such person should be look forward to...
It is true that, as for today, 21 march, 2021; he is APC membership card carrier. Suffice it to say that, he is great man and a committed APC member.

Cashless policy: Reps, CBN agree no time limit for old naira notes 31/01/2023

Published by   ECHEKWU SUNDAY  JNR @  EKUM BLOG  The House of Representatives and the Central Bank of Nigeria have agreed that a time limit will no longer apply to the validity of old naira notes after the expiration of the February 10 deadline set by the apex bank. This means that the face value of the old N1000, N500 and N200 notes will continue to be redeemable in compliance with Section 20 (3) of the CBN Establishment Act. Banks will continue to mop up the notes after they cease to be legal tender on February 10 without a time limit. The CBN Governor, Mr Godwin Emefiele, was directed to submit a weekly report on releases of the new notes to commercial banks so that the House could verify claims by the CEOs of the banks that the apex bank had not been releasing enough cash to them. The CBN was also directed to restore over-the-counter transactions by the banks and increase Automated Teller Machine (ATM) cash withdrawal limits in order to fast-track the circulation of the new no
