Release of Admissions into Postgraduate Programmes of the Benue State University, Makurdi for 2023/2024 Academic Session

This is to inform all candidates who applied for admission into the Postgraduate programmes of the Benue State University, Makurdi, for the 2023/2024 Academic Session that the list of successful candidates has been released.

2). Candidates are to confirm their admission status on the Benue State University portal by paying a non-refundable Admission Verification fee of one thousand, five hundred (N1,500.00) naira only using the e-payment procedure.

3). Successful candidates are to pay an acceptance fee of twenty-five thousand (N25,000.00) naira only using the e-payment procedure.

4). Successful candidates should revisit the Benue State University portal and print out Admission Letter and Acceptance Form.

5). The Guidelines on e-payment are as follows:
(i) Visit www.bsum.edu.ng or https://www.portal.bsum.edu.ng
(ii) Click on e-Payment platform to open the e-Payment Form
(iii) Select programme (postgraduate) payment category. Type in Application Number, Select Session or Semester as applicable.
(iv) Click on “Generate Payment Reference” to generate payment number.
(v) Click on link to proceed.
OPTIONS:
1.1 For cash payments at Bank: 
 Visit any of the following Bank branches nation-wide to make payment.
(a) Fidelity Bank Plc.
(b) Zenith Bank Plc.
(c) Guaranty Trust Bank Plc.
(d) Sterling Bank Plc.
(e) Access Bank
(f) First Bank of Nigeria Plc.
(g) United Bank for Africa Plc.
(h) Unity Bank Plc.
(i) Union Bank of Nigeria Plc.
(j) Polaris Bank Plc.
NB: Before proceeding to the bank, complete and printout your Payment Reference Number slip from the e-payment platform from the University website or Portal and take it to the bank. On receipt of cash from you, the Bank using "College Pay" will process your transaction and generate Payment Receipt for you. 
1.2 For ATM Payments: 
 Visit any ATM machine with your ATM card and do the following:  
(i) Select Quick Teller from the ATM menu
(ii) Select pay bills
(iii) Fill in the Payment Reference Number generated from the e-payment platform when you are requested to enter the Customer ID.
(iv) Fill in 04255101 when you are requested to enter the Payment Code.
(v) Enter your mobile phone number and complete the transaction.
After successfully completing the payment, return to the portal to login and print out your Payment Receipt. 

1.3 For payment using Quick Teller from the Internet: 
 Visit the Quick Teller website www.quckteller.com/bsum to complete your transaction. 
(i) Insert your registration number
(ii) Insert your email and mobile number and click "continue".
(iii) Follow the instructions on the screen to complete your payment.
(iv) Print out the payment confirmation slip.
(v) Return to the portal and print out a payment confirmation slip.

6). Registration of fresh candidates commences from Monday, 15th April, 2024 to Friday, 10th May, 2024

Cashless policy: Reps, CBN agree no time limit for old naira notes 31/01/2023

     Published by   ECHEKWU SUNDAY  JNR @  EKUM BLOG  The House of Representatives and the Central Bank of Nigeria have agreed that a time limit will no longer apply to the validity of old naira notes after the expiration of the February 10 deadline set by the apex bank. This means that the face value of the old N1000, N500 and N200 notes will continue to be redeemable in compliance with Section 20 (3) of the CBN Establishment Act. Banks will continue to mop up the notes after they cease to be legal tender on February 10 without a time limit. The CBN Governor, Mr Godwin Emefiele, was directed to submit a weekly report on releases of the new notes to commercial banks so that the House could verify claims by the CEOs of the banks that the apex bank had not been releasing enough cash to them. The CBN was also directed to restore over-the-counter transactions by the banks and increase Automated Teller Machine (ATM) cash withdrawal limits in order to fast-track the circulation of the new no
