COMPARISM OF NIG. CONSTITUTIONS

COMPARISM OF THE PRE AND POST-INDEPENDENCE CONSTITUTION OF NIGERIA Comparism of the Pre-colonial Constitution with the Post independence constitution of Nigeria, with Characteristic and finding answer to why government of the centre has become so powerful vis –a –vis other tiers of government. In answering the above question, one may need to know briefly what is a constitution and the entity called Nigeria. A constitution is a body of rules, which regulate the conduct of people and government or organization and its members. But for Nigeria, it is a political entity that is a product of the British colonial rule in this part of West Africa in 1861. The country is made up of people with different ethnic, religions and cultural background before the interruption of their individual social processes. They were autonomous and freed societies or groups with their own peculiar and relative administrative system which were not codified in writing but served the desired purpose of administra

THE TERRORISTS OF IPOB BY FANI-KAYODE

The “terrorists” of IPOB by Fani-Kayode Given the unfolding events in our country, I believe that this is the time for deep introspection and sobre reflection. I am not a member of IPOB, I have never attended any IPOB meeting and neither am I Igbo. I am however deeply concerned about what is going on in our country, what the Igbos are being subjected to and what I consider to be the greatest assault on the human rights and civil liberties of the Nigerian people since the military left power in 1999. A violation of the constitutional right of freedom of association and freedom of speech affects not just those that have been targetted but each and every one of us. An act of injustice against one is an act of injustice against all. What affects the part also affects the whole. If you beat my neighbours child it is as good as beating mine and consequently I have a duty to defend that child. That is the essence of humanity and chivalry: to speak up for those that are being persecuted, to

First class

Reasons Why First Class Students Never Become First Class People In Life. Hardly do first class graduates become first class personality. While in University, we often spend too much energy in acquiring good grades that we forget to acquire good class personality. After concentrating all energy in acquiring the first class grades, we transform into a society where first class grades don’t matter much as having a first class personality. In school, its easy to read, memorize and pass examinations, but in real life, there is no sure book of life to progress, no memorizing, no examinations, just you and your inbuilt capability which require no contest with anybody. Those who eventually become big in life are mostly people who hardly make good grades in school. Prof. Abletor Sedofia from University of Ghana has this to say: “Academic excellence is overrated! Did I just say that? Oh, yes, I said it. Being top of your class does not necessarily guarantee that you will be

WHAT IS LIFE

WHAT IS THIS LIFE? A man is born today, Tomorrow he is dead. A man lives in  a mansion today, Tomorrow he lives underground. A man drives a car today, Tomorrow an ambulance drives him. A man reads biology today, Tomorrow a biography is been read of him. A man eats whatever he wants today, Tomorrow he becomes food for insects. A man is always early for work today, Tomorrow he is termed late Mr/Mrs. A man is seen resting in his house today, Tomorrow he is resting in a coffin. And they say "Rest In Peace"! A man eats all kinds of fruits in his house today, Tomorrow he becomes manure to those trees. A man is known today as the richest man ever, Tomorrow he doesn't even know where or what will happen to his riches. What is life after all? Plan your life because you may not see tomorrow. But when your life is well planned you won't Be afraid of any thing. ACT RIGHT AND LIVE GODLY. ALWAYS BE A HELPING HAND TO OTHERS. Come to think of this?....... 1. E

mama TARABA has made her speech published

Mama Taraba is a courageous woman who has spoken the truth. Vice President Abubakar Atiku is a blessing to this nation whilst President Muhammadu Buhari is a curse. The APC sun is about to set. Mama Taraba has a duty to tell us all she knows about Governor Nasir El Rufai's alleged role in the Chibok girls scam and Boko Haram. I urge her to do so. I said it BEFORE, DURING and AFTER the 2015 presidential campaign that the truth about the Chibok girls and those behind BH was yet to be heard. Now it is all coming out. Nothing is hidden under the sun. Thank you Mama Taraba. Others will also come out to tell us what they know. Soon the world will know who the real terrorists are. By femi fani kayode

Hmmm… how this life is! Well done Citizens. Great goals from Aguero, Gabriel Jesus (2), and Sane (2). . .
